First I find the receptionists friendly and welcoming. The dental hygienist is skilled and thorough. Dr. Catanzano himself gives me a complete inspection visually and by means of X-ray and dental photographs as needed. He displays a warm friendly attitude throughout. Therefore I give him a high recommendation.

Dr. Catanzano and his staff exceed expectations every time we come in to his offices. From the greeting at the front desk, to the concern for our comfort as we undergo an exam: their professionalism, genuine interest, ability to listen, and responsiveness are unique in the market of providers who may be nice, but dole out teeth cleaning or x-rays like commodities. This entire team is talented, as well as highly expert. They treat us like family.

Today Dee worked her magic, cleaning my teeth and countering months of subpar brushing on my part. The whole staff at Dr Catanzano's office is superb, which is why my wife and I have been going there for many years -- and why we now trust the care of our kids to Dr. Catanzano as well.

Update 02MAR16: Even though the cavity was in a difficult place (below the gum line), it was filled with very little discomfort. Special high density fluoride filling was used. He took before and after photos. At the same time he was helping his new assistant learn his preferred methods. Had the pleasure of listening to Chopin during the entire procedure, using a pair of earphones. ~~~~~~~~~~ Update 23FEB16: Today I had my teeth cleaned. The technician was both gentle and thorough. Dr. Catanzaro stopped in and discovered a new cavity. I hope that will be as painless as the cleaning. ~~~~~~~~~~ I don't think the five star rating means I "loved it". I had three fillings done in one sitting. My rating is based on the competency and efficiency of Dr. Catanzano and his crew. One filling was close to the nerve and therefore great caution was exercised. And it all was done without experiencing pain, which I had with other dentists, and which kept me from maintaining my teeth like I should have. But this experience was different. Their entire operation runs like a smoothly oiled machine from start to finish. This was my third visit, and am scheduled for a couple more to finish the restoration of my teeth back to a healthy functional state. I'm looking forward to another set of positive outcomes. I also enjoyed listening to two Mozart symphonies during the process. I definitely recommend this group, and it is worth the drive into DC and navigating the narrow ramps in the parking garage to get to them.

We have been using this dentist office for almost 30 years. The staff is warm, friendly, and helpful, and Dr. Drumm and Dr. Catanzano have been kind, professional and talented. Our whole family (three generations!) has benefited from their continued efforts to stay on top of new technology and techniques, and their years of experience. We highly recommend them for keeping your mouth in tip-top shape!
